Robert (Bob) Tranchant

Founder & Army Veteran

🇺🇸 About the Founder — Bob Tranchant

Bob Tranchant is the driving force behind The American Foundation for Life Challenges and Cures — a mission born from service, family, and faith in hard work. Inspired by his late father, a proud Navy veteran and passionate pineapple grower, Bob learned early that true strength comes from dedication, generosity, and perseverance. He watched his father cultivate pineapples by hand, selling them at the local market while sharing stories of service and sacrifice. His father often spoke of one unfulfilled dream — to help disabled veterans live with dignity and hope.

When his father passed away in 2024 at the remarkable age of 101, Bob made a promise: that dream would not die.

As an Army veteran himself, Bob knows firsthand the struggles that so many veterans face after returning home. He founded this organization to honor his father’s legacy and to serve those who have served us all. From mortgage assistance to free boating and fishing trips, The American Foundation for Life Challenges and Cures brings relief, joy, and a renewed sense of community to America’s heroes.

Bob’s family represents the very heart of American service — spanning all five branches of the Armed Forces and beyond:

  • 1 in the Navy
  • 3 in the Marines
  • 1 in the Army
  • 1 in the Air Force
  • 1 in the Coast Guard
  • 1 in the Merchant Marines

With roots that run deep in faith, family, and freedom, Bob carries their collective spirit forward — proud to stand beside every man and woman who has worn this nation’s uniform
